Ex-Olympian: Transgenders born as biological men should not compete as “women” in sports

A former Olympic athlete has bravely come forward to denounce the growing trend of biological men competing in women’s sports as “women,” arguing that this newfound practice is ultimately ruining women’s sports.

Sharron Davies, a competitive swimmer who represented Great Britain in past Olympics, says she doesn’t have anything against people who decide to become “transgenders.” What she sees as problematic is trans people who decide to compete in sports against other non-trans people who don’t share their same biological sex.

In a recent tweet, Davies let her position be known loudly and clearly, revealing in so many words that there’s always going to be a “fundamental difference” in strength and ability between a biological male and a biological female – regardless of the “gender” by which a person chooses to identify.

“To protect women’s sport those with a male sex advantage should not be able 2compete in women’s sport,” Davies explained in her tweet.

Several other Olympic athletes echoed Davies’ sentiments and offered their support in response, including Olympic track winner Sally Gunnell, gold medalist boxer Nicola Adams OBE, and gold medal distance athlete Dame Kelly Holmes.

“Every single woman athlete I’ve spoken to, and I have spoken to many, all of my friends in international sports, understand and feel the same way as me,” Davies explained in her own words during a recent interview with BBC News.

What Davies and her fellow female athletes obviously take issue with are biological men who end up stealing athletic victories from biological women, simply because they self-identify as transgender “women.” It’s a problem we’ve been covering for several years now, and one that seems to be escalating with each passing day.

But the liberal mob apparently can’t understand the implications of all this for the future of women’s sports, and has instead chosen to attack the messenger – in this case, Davies.

As to be expected, a horde of rabid libtards immediately swarmed Twitter after Davies tweeted the truth about transgenderism, angrily accusing her of being “transphobic” and full of “hate” – to which she simply reiterated that it’s not about identity, but rather about fairness.

“It is not a transphobic thing – I really want to say we have no issue with people who are transgender,” Davies is quoted as saying.

“Unfortunately, a lot of people who are in the races [now] are in a very difficult predicament when they can’t speak out. It maybe falls to the people who were competing [in the past] who would understand the predicament that is being faced at the moment to try to create a debate, and try to explain how we feel there needs to be a fair and level playing field.”

In many cases, transgender athletes are taking steroids and various other drugs as part of their “transition therapy” – drugs that, were they being taken by non-trans people, would be considered performance-enhancing drugs that warrant disqualification.

Truth be told, transgenderism is a mental illness that requires treatment, not acceptance and celebration as is demanded by the LGBT mafia. As stated by former psychiatrist-in-chief of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Paul R. McHugh, it will always be “biologically impossible” to change one’s sex – and to believe otherwise is similarly a manifestation of mental illness.

“People who undergo sex-reassignment surgery do not change from men to women or vice versa,” Dr. McHugh has stated in the past. “Rather, they become feminized men or masculinized women. Claiming that this is civil-rights matter and encouraging surgical intervention is in reality to collaborate with and promote a mental disorder.”
