LGBT science denialism on parade: Anal cancer, gender “spectrum” and magical thinking

One of the great ironies of modern-day leftism is the rogue political movement’s vehement insistence that it has a corner on the truth in everything pertaining to science, while simultaneously accepting every pseudoscientific theory and vain imagination put forth by the likes of climate cultists and the LGBTQ mafia. Not only do liberals today constantly whine about how conservatives refuse to accept unproven leftist conspiracy theories like man-made global warming, but they also love to parade around other junk science beliefs like their acceptance of the so-called gender “spectrum,” and the secular humanistic doctrine that transgenderism is a completely normal form of human biological expression.

The Democratic Party, where most liberals live politically, is so convinced of its own correctness about pretty much everything that it now calls itself the “party of science.” And yet the irony is that when science comes to the forefront that they feel is politically incorrect, most Democrats automatically relegate it to “hate speech” rather than actually take the time to evaluate it with an open mind. Honest scientific inquiry necessitates critical thinking, after all. But leftist liberals tend to not want anything to do with it because, more often than not, what it reveals ends up ruffling the feathers of their own cognitive dissonance, which is too much for them to bear.

A new study about anal cancer that was recently published in the journal Cancer serves as a perfect example of this. Much to the chagrin of the liberal left, researchers from Harvard University, the University of Florida, the University of Texas, and Baylor University found that homosexual and bisexual men are the predominant demographic afflicted by anal cancer. Based on the numbers, homosexual and bisexual men are 100 times more likely than heterosexual men to develop anal cancer – a direct result of their engaging in anal sex.

The paper talks all about how the infamous human papillomavirus (HPV) is directly associated with anal cancer, and how this prolific infection can also contribute to other forms of cancer including that of the cervix, vagina, vulva, throat, penis and rectum. But the biggest takeaway was this: Gay men are the most likely candidates for developing anal cancer. And the fact of the matter is that this is a direct cause of them engaging in anal sex, a statement that in and of itself is sure to trigger masses of LGBTQ cultists and their allies into mass hysteria over its implication that gay sex is abnormal and carries with it a significantly higher risk of disease compared to straight sex.

Nothing could be more hateful than lying to transgenders by telling them that their mental disorder is normal

Another popular leftist dogma that carries a serious trigger warning is the so-called gender “spectrum,” which is basically the idea that there are an infinite number of genders that a person can choose from, and he, she, “it,” or “they,” is only limited insofar as one’s imagination allows. From a biological and scientific perspective, the entire concept of a limitless gender spectrum is not much different from believing in unicorns or the tooth fairy. But modern-day leftism and the cult of LGBTQ together insist that it’s a biological reality that everyone needs to accept without question. Those who don’t are automatically relegated by the left as being homophobic, transphobic bigots.

What’s actually hateful and bigoted is perpetuating the lie that altering one’s sex is biologically possible simply by undergoing “sex reassignment” surgery and dressing up in the stereotypical clothing of the opposite gender. Scientific evidence shows that permanently altering one’s body parts in an attempt to make them match a preferred gender is futile, and many people who make this decision end up regretting it right around the time when it’s already too late to turn back.

Dr. Paul R. McHugh is the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, and currently serves as its Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry. He is well-versed in gender issues and the science surrounding it, having worked in the field for many years, and he says that transgenderism is a mental disorder that requires treatment, not blind acceptance. Many leftists hate him for his position, but he certainly knows what he’s talking about. To date, he currently has six published works and more than 125 peer-reviewed medical papers dealing with the subject.

Dr. McHugh has boldly proclaimed that sex reassignment surgery is essentially no better of a solution for people who suffer from gender dysphoria than an all-access pass to an all-you-can-eat buffet would be for a person with an overeating disorder. Those with a “disorder of assumption” about their genders, as he calls it, need help to overcome their disease, not encouragement to accept it or grow into it as some type of “identity.”

“This intensely felt sense of being transgendered constitutes a mental disorder in two respects. The first is that the idea of sex misalignment is simply mistaken – it does not correspond with physical reality. The second is that it can lead to grim psychological outcomes,” warns Dr. McHugh, adding that the Cult of Transgenderism that’s trying to pull more gender-confused individuals into its fold is doing a great disservice – especially when it involves children, which he says amounts to “child abuse.”

“‘Sex change’ is biologically impossible,” he adds, noting that “people who undergo sex-reassignment surgery do not change from men to women or vice versa. Rather, they become feminized men or masculinized women. Claiming that this is civil-rights matter and encouraging surgical intervention is in reality to collaborate with and promote a mental disorder.”
