Harvey Weinstein revelations prove Hollywood is a left-wing cesspool of perverts, pedophiles and rapists

To hear Left-wing progressives tell it, supporters of President Donald J. Trump, as well as the president himself, are disgusting louts who regularly mistreat and denigrate women. But in reality, it is they who hypocritically exist in a world filled with perverts, pedophiles, rapists and sexual abusers of women.

Last October, just weeks before the Nov. 8 election, an audio tape of Trump that was leaked to the media contained comments by the soon-to-be-president he made in 2005 to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush that were indeed disparaging to women. In the recording, Trump is heard telling Bush he “moved” on a woman who was “married,” but “failed,” adding that when you’re rich and famous like him, “you can do anything” — even grabbing “them by the p***y.”

Trump immediately owned up to the comments and apologized for them, but he was nevertheless attacked viciously, including by some members of the Republican Party. Hollywood was particularly harsh on the president.

“Trump should be forced to have gender reassignment surgery, just for fun. He can find out what it’s like to be on the other side of him,” tweeted Chelsea Handler.

“It would be fitting if this ended on a bus,” tweeted TV host and comedian Seth Myers.

“You’re still voting for Trump? I feel like it’s time for us to see other people — we just don’t have anything in common- it’s not me its [sic] you,” tweeted actor Ben Platt.

“All jokes aside, what Trump is describing is sexual assault and he is a vile, abusive monster. But we knew that already,” tweeted “Parks and Recreation” star Billy Eichner.

Well, Billy, that accusation is particularly relevant, given recent (and past) allegations involving Hollywood stars and figures.

The latest Tinsel Town perv to be outed is mega-director Harvey Weinstein, a long-time serial sexual abuser of women. Multiple women have come forward to tell their stories of how he sexually abused and maligned them, with three claiming he raped them or tried to.

But even though much of Hollywood has been hypocritically silent about his alleged exploits, it’s far from the first time we have discovered that the entertainment world is full of these kinds of people. And the thing is, all of these people are committed liberal progressives, the very people who claim to have cornered the market on treating women compassionately. Let’s begin:

— Leading this list second only to Weinstein, apparently, is former President Bill Clinton, who has been accused of sexual assault, rape, and lying under oath to Congress about his sexual acts with former White House intern Monica Lewinski, a fib for which he was eventually impeached by the House. At the time, Hollywood lined up to defend Clinton — not because he’s a great guy but because Hollywood has its own sexual assault problems. — In May 2016, actor Elijah Wood, star of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, said Hollywood was rife with child sexual abuse. In an interview with the UK’s Sunday Times, he said that he was protected from the abuse while growing up, but other child actors were regularly “preyed upon” at parties by leading industry figures.

— In response to the allegations against Weinstein, James Gunn, director of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” said he has many female friends who have often talked about being sexually harassed in Hollywood as they pursued acting careers. He said that “to them this conversation was casual – they’ve gotten used to sexual harassment being a part of their everyday lives – but to me it was horrifying.”

— Also in response to the Weinstein allegations, the reliably Left-wing Washington Post even notes in a headline the regularity of abuse in Hollywood: “Will Harvey Weinstein’s downfall change Hollywood’s culture of silence around sexual abuse?”

Trump’s behavior, which occurred in private and was more bravado than anything else, pales in comparison to the actual cases of sexual abuse, pedophilia and assault that is a regular occurrence in one of the vilest cesspools on the planet: Hollywood. To hear stars complain about the president’s behavior is disgustingly hypocritical.
